EU steel exports up five percent in first quarter

According to the European Steel Association (EUROFER), in March this year European Union (EU-27) flat steel exports totaled 1.315 million mt, while the long steel exports of the region amounted to 956,000 mt. Accordingly, overall EU steel exports in March totaled 2.271 million mt, up 13.21 percent month on month but decreasing by 3.44 percent year on year.
