EU-27 flat steel exports up 33 percent in December

According to the European steel association EUROFER, in December last year European Union (EU-27) flat steel exports reached 1.474 million mt, up 33.03 percent year on year, while EU-27 long steel exports amounted to 964,000 mt, up 24.06 percent year on year. Accordingly, overall EU-27 steel exports in December totaled 2.43 million mt, down 4.09 percent month on month and increasing by 29.33 percent year on year.

In addition, last year total EU-27 steel exports amounted to 25.497 million mt, increasing by 2.1 percent compared to 2010.
