Erdemir bids for local iron ore mine
Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Privatization Administration, on January 30, 2004 announced that a tender is commenced for the privatization of Divrigi-Hekimhan Industry and Trade Corp. (Div-Han), which operates in iron ore mining sector. The deadline for submitting offer was determined as February 23, 2004. Accordingly, Turkish integrated long producer Kardemir announced on February 20, 2004 that it will participate the tender, which will be held for Div-Han on February 23, 2004. Similarly, Turkish integrated flat producer Erdemir reportedly participated the tender, the decision of which was given on the board meeting held on February 21, 2004. The winner of the tender is not disclosed yet.
