Dunaferr completes smelter construction

Hungary-based, Ukrainian-Swiss owned steelmaker Dunaferr completed the reconstruction of one of its two smelters at the cost of €10 million, said CEO Valery Naumenko on Monday, September 4. The majority of the works on reconstruction were carried out by Russian Uraldomnaremont. The Donbass-Duferco consortium, which acquired Dunaferr in 2004, said that it will invest more than €272 million in modernization of the plant during the five years following the purchase.
