Dongbei Special Steel Group comes on stream
According to recent news in the market, Dongbei Special Steel Group has been inaugurated in Dalian, Liaoning on September 21, 2004. The group is a configuration of Special Steel Co and Beiman Special Steel Co Ltd.
The chairman of the plant announced that the company aims to produce 3.28 million tons of special steel and 2.88 million tons of rolled special steel per annum by 2009. Moreover, sales income is expected to reach Yen 17 billion (around $2 billion) within five years. It is stated that if the company succeeds in reaching its goals, it will be the leading special steel producer in
China.
The company is also expected to revive the region's economy.
