Brazilian iron ore giant Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (CVRD) reportedly concluded iron ore price negotiations for 2006 with the world's largest steelmaker Mittal Steel. Accordingly, iron ore prices for Carajas and Southern System fines increased by 19 percent compared to 2005. Analysts expect CVRD's clients in China to agree the same or slightly lower price rise despite their resistance.
