Corus completes acquisition and sale operations of Segal

According to recent market reports, Corus Group Plc declared at the beginning of this week that they have completed taking over of two-thirds share in Segal SCRL of Belgium from world's largest steel maker Arcelor SA. After the acquisition worth €33.3 million ($39 million) in cash, Corus being the owner of Segal concurrently sold its 50% share to a Dutch invesment fund MetalInvest against €25 million ($29 million) again in cash. Corus reported that company plans to keep its balance 50% share in the galvanizing mill Segal and use total output of the mill.
