Continuous caster to be reconstructed at Asil Celik

According to recent reports from the industry, a caster accident took place a month ago at the Turkish high quality steel producer Asil Celik. As reported, one of the hooks of the ladle furnace was broken which resulted in the pouring of crude steel on the continuous caster machine, leaving it out of order. This situation naturally leads the company to lose certain tons of production, and as a consequence it claims that the cost of the caster should be indemnified by Danieli, however, the dispute has been settled after long discussions and necessary approval is given for the insurance company to go ahead to compensate the loss, allowing funds to construct the new continuous caster. Under any circumstances, it is speculated that this accident costs Asil Celik a production loss of approximately 3 months.
