Chongqing Steel and Panhua Group ink strategic cooperation deal

On November 23, Chinese steelmakers Chongqing Iron & Steel (Group) Co. Ltd. (CISC) and Panhua Group Co., Ltd signed a strategic cooperation agreement, according to which CISC will supply 100,000 mt of hot rolled coils (HRC) per month to Pangua Group subsidiary Chongqing Wanda Steel Sheet Co., Ltd, effective from January 2011.

Established in 2009, Chongqing Wanda Steel Sheet Co., Ltd is wholly-owned by Panhua Group. Its main products cold rolled coil (CRC), hot dip galvanized (HDG), galvalume and color-coated. In May 2010, Wanda Steel Sheet's color-coated production line started production, producing sheets with thicknesses of 0.18-0.8 mm and widths of 900-1,250 mm, with a designed annual output of 300,000 mt. On August 15 this year, the steel plant's No. 1 HDG production line started production with thicknesses of 0.18-1.2 mm and widths of 900-1,250mm, with a designed annual output of 150,000 mt.
