China’s sedan sales up in June

Based on the data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), the country's sedan sales rose 57.2 percent year on year to 258'600 units in June. In addition, China's sedan output also increased 24.97 percent year on year to 264'400 units last month. China's overall auto sales amounted to 517'000 units in June, up 35.98 percent from a year earlier, while overall output reached 498'100 units, an increase of 18.9 percent. CAAM indicates that the promotional campaigns of automakers contributed to the significant increase in sedan sales. For the first half of the year, sedan sales rose 9.29 percent year on year to 1.23 million units while sedan output increased 5.15 percent to 2.82 million units.
