China’s investment in railway construction increases in Jan-Nov

On December 10, China’s Ministry of Railways announced that in the first 11 months of the current year fixed asset investment in railway construction in China reached RMB 506.969 billion ($81 billion), up 3.1 percent, while fixed asset investment in construction of railway infrastructure in the country amounted to RMB 431.932 billion ($69 billion), up nine percent, both year on year. 
 
In November, fixed asset investment in railway construction in China amounted to RMB 81.8 billion ($13 billion), increasing by 0.97 percent month on month and up 30.56 percent year on year. In addition, fixed asset investment in railway infrastructure construction in the country in the given month totaled RMB 70.106 billion ($11 billion), up 4.7 percent month on month and increasing by 141.22 percent year on year.
