China's CR coil export volume in August reached 87,800 mt, down 411,400 mt or 82.42 percent year on year, totaling $79 million in value, down $516 million or 86.68 percent compared with the same period last year. The average CR coil export price was $904.11/mt. Total January-August exports for this product reached 374,800 mt, down 1.89 million mt or 83.43 percent, amounting to $352 million in value, down $2.32 billion or 86.84 percent year on year.
CR coil imports in August stood at 485,700 mt, up 169,300 mt or 53.49 percent year on year, totaling $350 million in value, down $19 million or 5.07 percent compared with the same period last year. The average import price was $721.51/mt. Total January-August CR coil imports reached 3.01 million mt, up 161,800 mt or 5.68 percent, amounting to a value of $2.17 billion, down $653 million or 23.16 percent year on year.
