China's car sales up 15.6%

According to unofficial figures, China's passenger car sales reached 296'800 units in June 2005 and marked the highest monthly sales in 2005 so far. With June's figure, China's passenger car sales increased 15.6 percent year on year to 1.46 million units through January – June 2005. According to Shanghai-based Auto Information Association (AIA), China's passenger car sales may reach three million units in 2005.
