China Steel to increase Q3 prices

Recent market news reveals that, Taiwanese steel producer China Steel is planning to increase third quarter prices by 10% due to strong demand. The price for major products such as hot rolled coil is stated to be increased by NTD 1'500 (approx. $45). The price of hot rolled coil was around NTD 14'200 ($423) in the second quarter. The prices are stated to be increased to eliminate the difference between prices of the company and the prices in international markets. Third quarter prices will be set at the meeting that is scheduled to take place on Thursday.
