China sees 6.2% rise in FDI

China's Ministry of Commerce disclosed that the country's contracted foreign direct investment (FDI) rose 6.2% year-on-year to $20.1 billion during the first two months of 2005. Actual foreign direct investment totaled $7.97 billion during the same period, up 8.2% year-on-year. The Ministry approved 5'444 new foreign-funded companies in the first two months, down 9.02% year-on-year.
