SteelOrbis has recently heard some rumours saying that China may impose 5 to 10 percent tax on semi-finished steel exports. However, Chinese Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Finance denied the rumours and they said they did not hold any talks on this issue. Meanwhile, as the exports in March went up sharply, the notice on lowering the export tax rebate on finished steel may be released soon.
