China implements export license on 47 categories of goods

China's Ministry of Commerce has announced its export license directive for 2008, which is to be executed on 47 categories of goods (471 customs codes) effective as of January 1, 2008.
 
Accordingly, exporters of ferrosilicon (customs code 7202210000, 7202290000), ferromanganese, silicomanganese, electrolytic manganese and other manganese alloys, as well as of tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium, titanium, nickel and chrome alloys and some other metals, will be required to obtain export licenses from the local trade commissions.
