Cesare Leali appointed CEO at Italian steelmaker Leali Group

Cesare Leali has been appointed CEO of Italian steelmaking company Gruppo Leali, based at Odolo, Brescia, while also being appointed managing director of Acciaieria Valsugana, subsidiary of Leali Group. Cesare Leali is the nephew of Dario Leali, who was the long-standing head of the group.

Meanwhile, Ghedi, Brescia-based steelmaker Laminazione Acciai Speciali (LAS), a company outside the Leali Group and directed by the new CEO, has acquired a 51.22 percent stake worth at least €20 million in Leali S.p.A., a subsidiary of Leali Group. Leali Group accumulated a net loss of around €57 million over the last two fiscal years.
