The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has announced that it has initiated an expiry review regarding the antidumping and countervailing duty on certain carbon steel welded pipe imports from China.

The antidumping and countervailing duty on the abovementioned imports came into force in August 2008 and it is scheduled to expire on August 19, 2013.

In April 2013, the Canada Border Services Agency will determine if there is a likelihood of resumed or continued dumping and subsidizing. In the event of positive determinations, the tribunal will determine whether the continued or resumed dumping and subsidizing are likely to result in material injury.
