BlueScope Steel to establish a mill in China

According to recent news in the market, Australian steel producer BlueScope Steel Limited is planning to build a new flat steel metallic coating and painting facility in Jiangsu province of China to meet strong demand in China. For this project, BlueScope Steel will reportedly invest Australian $280 million ($222 million). The new plant, which will have a metallic coating capacity of 250'000 tons and a paint line capacity of 150'000 tons per annum, is expected to be completed by mid 2006. An official from BlueScope Steel expressed that the project is a new step through expanding company's business in Asia.
