BHP Billiton increase its iron ore sales

BHP Billiton announced that the company raised its iron ore sales due to strong demand from China. Company officials stated that BHP Billiton's sales of iron ore into China have raised from 12 million tons in 2001 to 18 million tons in 2003. In addition, BHP's iron ore margins have been increased by more than $2 per ton. BHP stated that the improvement in the iron ore margins depend on the removal of agents from a market.
