ArcelorMittal Temirtau, Kazakhstan-based subsidiary of the world's largest steelmaker ArcelorMittal, has been forced to reduce its production targets for 2008 from 4.6 million mt to 3.6 million mt due to the power outage in July.

The company said that it had to halt production at two out of three blast furnaces at the mill on account of the disturbance of power supplies. Due to the reduction in output, the plant's output forecast for 2008 has also been revised.
