ArcelorMittal Temirtau, Kazakhstan-based subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, is still proceeding with the elimination of the effects of malfunctions which occurred at the mill following the disruption of electricity supplies last Saturday.

On July 14, the mill commissioned full capacity work at its flat rolling workshop No.1. However, repair works are still being carried out at ArcelorMittal Temirtau's blast furnaces No.1 - No.4.

The disruption of electricity supplies resulted in the destruction of the chimney of blast furnace No.1, damaging airways and gas pipelines, and also in the technical breakdown of concasters No.1 and No.2.

ArcelorMittal Temirtau is expected to work at limited capacity until all effects of the power supply disturbance have been eliminated.
