Anyang Steel sees sales revenue hit RMB 50.6 billion in 2011

Henan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Anyang Iron and Steel Co. (Anyang Steel) has announced that its sales revenue in 2011 reached RMB 50.6 billion ($8.03 billion), up RMB 6.9 billion ($1.095 billion) compared to 2010.
 
In 2011, Anyang Steel continued to eliminate backward production capacity, shutting down and dismantling four 350 m3 blast furnaces. Meanwhile, Anyang Steel also continued to focus on saving energy and reducing emissions. In 2011, it saved RMB 527 million ($83.65 million) on its electricity bills, while also reducing its carbon dioxide emissions.
