Its No. 2 plant is a major unit in Angang Steel's non-oriented silicon steel development and research project. The plant also shoulders 70 percent of the production workload of Angang Steel. From the beginning of 2010 up to mid-April, the No. 2 plant develops a total of 14 new steel types, including non-oriented silicon steel, high-strength auto plate, high-strength ship plate, among others.

Auto plate is a key product of Angang Steel. To secure efficient and stable auto plate production, the No. 2 plant RH furnace refining treatment capacity increased by 15 percent in the first quarter this year.
