Turkey’s passenger car sales up 25.1 percent in July

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Automotive distributor Association (ODD), in the first seven months of this year the domestic passenger car market increased by 20.3 percent compared to the same period last year, with sales rising to 347,818 units. In July, domestic sales of passenger cars totaled 55,712 units, up 25.1 percent compared to July 2012 and down 3.4 percent month on month.
 
In the first seven months, sales of light commercial vehicles in Turkey declined by 7.4 percent compared to the first seven months of last year, falling to 105,521 units. In July, sales of light commercial vehicles totaled 15,884 units, up 0.5 percent compared to June this year and falling 10.6 percent year on year.
