Turkey's passenger car sales up 8.16 percent in October

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Distributors Association (ODD), in the first 10 months of this year the domestic passenger car market increased by 18.03 percent compared to the same period last year, with sales rising to 499,339 units. In October, domestic sales of passenger cars totaled 46,985 units, up 8.16 percent compared to October 2012 and down 11.22 percent month on month.
 
In the first 10 months of the current year, sales of light commercial vehicles in Turkey declined by 13.47 percent year on year to 145,020 units. In October, sales of light commercial vehicles totaled 11,029 units, falling 33.15 percent year on year and down 26.65 percent compared to September this year.
