SteelOrbis has learned that Italian wire rod producers lately booked orders for mesh quality wire rod in the export markets at a price level of €465/mt ($635/mt) FOB for deliveries in January and February.
In the local market, wire rod prices indicate no changes from last December's levels, with domestic producers' offers for drawing quality wire rod at €490/mt ($669/mt) delivered to customer, while mesh quality wire rod is not being sold in Italy at the moment.
