SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that in the Italian domestic market mesh quality wire rod prices are standing at €500-510/mt ($610-622/mt) ex-works, though steelmakers are hardly receiving any orders. However, wire rod suppliers hope that, due to the production slowdown in July and the summer halts in August, supply and demand levels may reach a better balance.
