Italian wire rod faces lackluster demand at home and abroad

According to reports by local operators, in the Italian domestic market drawing quality wire rod prices are at €480-500/mt ($619-645/mt) delivered to customer, showing a drop of €10-20/mt ($13-26/mt) compared to about 10 days ago. Local demand continues to be unsatisfactory.
 
Meanwhile, there is also little demand in the export market, where offers of Italian wire rod producers to Algeria are standing at €460-465/mt ($593-599/mt) FOB.
