SteelOrbis has learned that in the Italian market domestic prices of mesh quality wire rod are at €480/mt ($634/mt), while drawing quality wire rod prices are at €500/mt ($660/mt), both for delivery to customer.

Supply shortages in the market provide some support for prices, though local customers are not inclined to fill their stocks, but limit themselves to buying a little at a time. At the same time, domestic producers consider their current sales performance to be satisfactory.
