Italy’s construction output declines further in February

According to ISTAT, Italy's national statistics office, in February this year the Italian seasonally adjusted construction output index decreased by 9.9 percent after having decreased by 7.8 percent in the previous month, both month on month. The average index for December-February decreased by 6.3 percent compared to the previous three-month period.

The calendar adjusted index of production in the Italian construction sector in February this year fell 23 percent compared with February 2011, while in the first two months of the year the index decreased by 17.1 percent compared with the same period in 2011.
