According to ISTAT, Italy's national statistics office, in July this year the Italian seasonally adjusted construction output index decreased by 2.2 month on month. The average index for the May-July quarter decreased by 1.4 percent compared to the previous three-month period.
The calendar adjusted index of production in Italian construction in July of the current year declined by 14.2 percent compared with July 2011, while in the first seven months of the year the index decreased by 13.9 percent compared with the same period of 2011.
