Italian construction output up 3.1 percent in Nov from Oct

According to ISTAT, Italy's national statistics office, in November last year the Italian construction output index increased by 3.1 percent month on month, after having decreased by 2.1 percent in October compared to September. The average index value for the September-November period decreased by two percent compared to the previous three-month period.
 
The calendar adjusted index of production in the Italian construction sector decreased by 2.3 percent in November last year as compared with November 2010, while in the January-November period this year the index decreased by 3.1 percent compared with the same period of 2010.
 
The unadjusted index of production in the Italian construction sector in November this year decreased by 2.2 percent compared with November 2010. Comparing the average of the first 11 months of 2011 with the same period of 2010, the unadjusted production index decreased by 3.5 percent.
