Italy’s construction output revives in March

According to ISTAT, Italy's national statistics office, in March this year the Italian seasonally adjusted construction output index increased by 9.5 percent, having decreased by 9.9 percent in February and by 7.8 percent in January, all month on month. The average construction output index for January-March this year decreased by 8.9 percent compared to the previous three-month period.

The calendar adjusted index for Italian construction output declined by 9.2 percent compared with March 2011, while in the first three months of the year the index decreased by 14.1 percent compared with the corresponding period of 2011.
