According to ISTAT, Italy's national statistics office, in October this year the Italian construction output index decreased by 2.1 percent month on month, after having decreased by 4.4 percent in the previous month.
The calendar adjusted index of production in the Italian construction sector decreased by 8.1 percent compared with October 2010, while in the January-October period this year the index decreased by 3.1 percent compared with the same period of 2010.
The unadjusted index of production in the Italian construction sector in October this year decreased by 8.1 percent compared with October 2010. Comparing the average of the first nine months of 2011 with the same period of 2010, the unadjusted production index decreased by 3.5 percent.
