Italian construction output up 3.1 percent in Nov from Oct

According to ISTAT, Italy's national statistics office, in December last year the Italian construction output index increased by 1.4 percent month on month, having increased by 3.1 percent month-on-month in the previous month. The average index for October-December decreased by 1.2 percent compared to the previous three-month period.

The calendar adjusted index of production in Italian construction in December last year was unchanged compared with December 2010, while in the whole of 2011 the index decreased by 2.9 percent compared with 2010.

The unadjusted index of production in the Italian construction sector in December last year decreased by 6.8 percent compared with December 2010. Comparing the average of 2011 with 2010, the unadjusted production index decreased by 3.8 percent.
