Confidence index for Italian manufacturing more or less stable in August

In August this year, the seasonally adjusted confidence index in the Italian manufacturing sector remained more or less stable month on month at 87.2, indicating just a very slight increase of 0.11 percent, according to Istat, Italy's national statistics office. In particular, production expectations improved in the given month.

In August, the index increased from 89.8 to 89.9 for consumer goods and from 84.3 to 84.4 for instrumental goods, while it decreased from 87.1 to 56.7 for intermediate goods, all month on month.
