In September this year, the seasonally adjusted confidence index for Italian manufacturing increased by 1.14 percent from August to 88.3 points, according to Istat, Italy’s national statistics office. In the given month, production expectations improved slightly, assessments on order books stood still and the balance of inventories decreased slightly.
In addition, in September the index rose from 90 to 90.5 for consumer goods, from 84.9 to 86.8 for instrumental goods and from 86.7 to 87.3 for intermediate goods, all month on month.
