Leading Chinese steel producer Baosteel's heavy plate and hot rolled products have passed the European Union's CPD (Construction Product Directive) and PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) certification tests. Germany-based TÜV Rheinland International Standards Certification and Auditing Corporation issued the certification in question to Baosteel.
Baosteel had applied for EU CPD and PED certification in order to meet demand for boiler and pressure vessel steel and for construction steel. After stringent examination, the products in question produced by Baosteel were recognized as complying with EU standards.
