Turkish metal manufacturing sector’s capacity utilization rises to 77.2 percent

According to the provisional data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, in September this year the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry came to 77.2 percent, increasing by 3.4 percentage points compared to September 2009 and up from 74.4 percent in August this year.
 
Meanwhile, in September, the capacity utilization rate in the manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment, rose by 8.1 percentage points year on year reaching 68.7 percent - up from 66.8 percent compared to August this year.
 
Capacity utilization rate in Turkey's general manufacturing industry, on the other hand, came to 73.5 percent, up from 73 percent in August and up from 68 percent in September 2009.
