Turkey’s industrial production index rises another 8.61 percent in July

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜIK), in July this year Turkey's monthly industrial production index increased by 8.61 percent year on year, while the seasonal and calendar adjusted industrial production index improved by 0.2 percent compared to the previous month. July was the tenth consecutive month in which a year-on-year increase was recorded.
In July, the index for the manufacture of basic metals increased by 6.87 percent year on year and was up 6.13 percent over June, while the index for the manufacture of fabricated metal products rose by 19.56 percent year on year and was up by 2.68 percent compared to the previous month. However, the indices for both industries have not yet reached 2008 levels.
