According to the provisional data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of
Turkey, in August this year the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal
manufacturing industry came to 74.3 percent, increasing by 4.3 percentage points compared to August 2009 and down 5.6 percentage points month on month.
Meanwhile, in August, the capacity utilization rate in the manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment, rose by 6.7 percentage points year on year reaching 66 percent - down 2.9 percentage points compared to July this year.
