Turkey’s May industrial production index up 1.9 percent over April

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜIK), in May this year Turkey's monthly calendar adjusted industrial production index increased by 15.1 percent year on year, while the seasonal and calendar adjusted industrial production index rose by 1.9 percent compared to the previous month.
 
In May, the index for the manufacture of basic metals increased by 10.22 percent year on year and was up 4.49 percent over April, while the index for the manufacture of fabricated metal products rose by 28.57 percent year on year and was down 0.8 percent compared to the previous month.
