Turkey’s monthly industrial production index rises further in July

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜIK), in July this year Turkey's monthly industrial production index (2005 = 100) continued its year-on-year upward trend since November 2009, increasing by 6.9 percent compared to the year-ago period. The seasonal and calendar adjusted industrial production index increased by 2.7 percent compared to the previous month.

In July, the index for the manufacture of basic metals increased by 0.7 percent year on year but was down 0.1 percent over June, while the index for the manufacture of fabricated metal products rose by 15.3 percent year on year and was up by 0.7 percent compared to the previous month.
