According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in September this year Turkey's monthly industrial production index increased by 12 percent year on year, while the seasonal and calendar adjusted industrial production index increased by 1.5 percent compared to the previous month.
In September, the index for the manufacture of basic metals increased by 8.8 percent year on year and was up 9.9 percent over August, while the index for the manufacture of fabricated metal products rose by 32.3 percent year on year and was up by 13.6 percent compared to the previous month.
