Spain’s motor vehicle output up 13.2 percent in August

In August this year, Spain's total motor vehicle output amounted to 61,538 units, rising by 13.2 percent year on year, according to the data reported by the Spanish Automobile and Truck Manufacturers' Association (ANFAC). The association noted that exports are still the main source of support for the increase in output volumes. Meanwhile, in the first eight months of the year Spain's total motor vehicle output amounted to 1,428,020 units, rising by 7.13 percent year on year.
 
In the given month, the Spanish passenger car segment recorded an increase of 15.01 percent year on year in output, totaling 51,884 units. In the January-August period, the passenger car segment achieved an increase of 10.16 percent year on year in output, totaling 1,147,993 units.

In the month of August, the country's motor vehicle export volume trended upward, increasing 13.8 percent year on year to 60,659 units. In the first eight months of the year, Spanish motor vehicle exports increased 7.8 percent year on year to 1,242,596 units.
