Spain's motor vehicle output up 17 percent in October

In October this year, Spain's total motor vehicle output amounted to 210,971 units, rising by 17 percent year on year, according to the data reported by the Spanish Automobile and Truck Manufacturers' Association (ANFAC). The association noted that the increase in output volumes is still mainly driven by exports. Meanwhile, in the first 10 months of the year Spain's total motor vehicle output reached 1,831,454 units, rising by 9.32 percent year on year.

In October of the current year, Spanish passenger car output increased by 18.59 percent year on year to 166,054 units. In the January-October period, the passenger car segment achieved an increase of 12.99 percent year on year in output, totaling 1,470,911 units. In October, the country's motor vehicle export volume increased by 11.72 percent to 181,463 units, while the volume for the first 10 months rose by 9.51 percent to 1,597,766 units, both year on year.
