In June this year, Spain's total motor vehicle output amounted to 196,273 units, rising by 10.75 percent year on year, following the 8.7 percent year-on-year increase recorded in May, according to the data reported by the Spanish Automobile and Truck Manufacturers' Association (ANFAC). The association noted that exports are still the main source of support for the increase in output volumes. Meanwhile, in the first six months of the year Spain's total motor vehicle output amounted to 1,155,901 units, rising by 5.45 percent year on year.
In the given month, the Spanish passenger car segment recorded an increase of 13.11 percent year on year in output, totaling 159,561 units. In the January-June period, the passenger car segment recorded an increase of 7.9 percent year on year in output, totaling 927,844 units.
In the month of June, the country's motor vehicle export volume trended upward, increasing 7.35 percent year on year to 169,723 units. In the first six months of the year, Spanish motor vehicle exports increased 6.13 percent year on year to 997,731 units.
