Severstal Cherepovets, the main steel producing facility of Severstal Russian Steel, has announced that it has signed a quarterly agreement with heavy trucks producer Belarusian Automobile Works (BelAZ) for the supply of 5,000 mt of rolled steel products per month.

Accordingly, the rolled steel products supplied by Severstal Cherepovets are to be used by BelAZ for manufacturing of 320-tons capacity dump trucks.

The agreement is in line with Severstal Cherepovets' strategy to expand its products in CIS markets, including Belarusian market through its trade company Severstalbel. Severstal is supplying steel products for Belarusian machine producer Gomselmash, as well as for Minsk Tractor Works. In 2008, Severstal Cherepovets was the main steel products supplier, with the deliveries amounted to 60,000 mt.
